The Valentine’s Madness

Here we come again in this yearly event, where you’ll see around few many people, mostly couples, eating, walking or having a picnic on a public place. It’s like they are saying to the public that they have found their “the one”, their “greatest love” and of sorts.

Valentines has really became more extravagant than your ordinary anniversary that most guys spend a month or more of their salary to make their most precious girl feel good about this day. Imagine, giving a bouquet of flowers and chocolates, then there’s a dinner or movie date to come. Oh how lovely! (and sadly how costly)

I don’t want to splurge this post regarding the costs of valentines day from a man’s point of view but I would rather discuss the madness of people have done for this day.

From today on out, watch closely those couples you are seeing, in a few months from now, the ladies you admire for their beauty and gorgeousness would become pregnant and guess what’s the most common birth month of kids these days? You’ve guess it right, it’s November.

How lovely isn’t it? Go on, search the birth rate of November as compared to the other months and you will be surprised. It’s really intriguing that after showing some sweetness the the day, those couples would make it out somehow and come a few months after, the girl gets pregnant.

What makes it obvious that the couple had it on Valentines day is the birth month of the child. If it falls on November, you’ll possibly get all smiles from the nurses and even your OB. What a lovely day indeed! So don’t raise the figures too much my friend and use contraceptives. For those who are alone like me in this lovely day, then let’s celebrate that we don’t get the chance to increase the figures and just greet everybody a happy valentines day!

Your Daily Dose of Business News – 11 Feb 2017

For today’s Daily Dose of Business News, I’ll be writing about a CNN Money article with the title “Germany reclaims gold hidden from Soviets in New York vaults“

The article is good news to Germans around the world. It seems that the future generations of Germans are in good hands with the move. It brings in a lot confidence and stability on the market because gold bars can easily be traded worldwide.

Germany’s Government is aiming to boost the morale and confidence of their countrymen in this move. I am now wondering why would the Germans have the need for such a morale booster. Are the people feeling the effects of the #Brexit or is it possible that their people don’t have a trust in their Government?

If I am a German, I would be happy upon hearing the news. This would mean that the country is paying off the debts in international banks (if they have any), and that the country is secure enough from terrorist attacks for the leaders to take such a bold move without thinking of possibilities of attacks. The move would only be bad if and only if (possible, but least likely to happen) Germany is preparing for war. I said least likely to happen because to assure their allies and the world, Germany would not withdraw all their gold bars from New York, they plan to remain some gold bars in New York and London.

Withdrawing the gold would not affect either the Euro or the Dollar negatively since after the Cold War, gold was decoupled with the dollar. Thus, if ever it might affect the Euro, it would only mean that the Euro’s value would continue to grow because those around 600 tons of gold would be an addition to Germany’s riches.

Wow, 600 tons of gold, and how many tons of gold has been harvested around the world already? I really do wonder. How many tons remain in the bank and how many are being made as jewelries? I cannot quantify it, but there’s one thing for certain, German’s are definitely in good hands.

“News about Trump” now a norm

It has been weeks since I last wrote a blog post, I’ve been busy the last few weeks but I never failed to reach for a newspaper or a news site whether local or international and it seems that everything revolves around President Ronald Trump lately.

I don’t like to put another picture of him to save his face because almost anyone already knew how he looked like and most probably knew more how he speaks that I chose to go with my usual picture that I use for the daily dose of business news.

I am now wondering as to how far can the press people can endure on writing about him and quoting every word he says in a manner that would put the President on question by critics, doubted by followers and all sort of things.

Everyone was well aware of how can a public figure can go down easily through unaccepted media practices as well as how can someone so lame and mediocre could look outstanding through their catchy artistic craftsmanship of words.

Donald Trump is the President of the most powerful and influential country of the world. Might as well say that he is the most powerful man in the World and the public has known him to be someone that you would really hate. I cannot blame the media on how they liked to write about him, he is an absolute blockbuster.

Having a headline about him would catch the attention of the haters and have the mindset of “what stupid thing did he say this time?”. Prompting everyone to read the news about him and sadly, the headlines is what captures the audience, not the content and not the bigger picture or the story behind it.

Which is why it is better to read novels, short stories or even a book series rather than reading or watching news these days because you get to know the feelings of the characters, their motives and objectives as well as to how well the story ends up in the end.

The primary goal of articles these days have really been about making money out of stories summarized by someone who never tried to do a thing or two to dig up the matter more that the unknown details would put the subject of the story on the spotlight and be questioned.

I do not wonder anymore why people are too oblivious into knowing the life of someone else than minding his own. We enjoy the thrill of how another behaves and how he handles everything, specially if that someone is the world’s most powerful. He is a public figure anyway, and the public must know his views, opinions and decisions. The very reason why I didn’t pursue an acting career (I am dreaming, support me on here). But it has to be controlled somehow.

I have written enough already. I cannot think of anything that could mend this problem. Anything about President Ronald Trump will surely be a headline and nothing can we do it in the next four years or so of his term. Treat this post as something as my outlet to tell the media to find other topics and that I am sick of the same old story about him. Yes! Him! Find a better story that could help those immigrants or just know the reasons why migration has been the thing in the last few decades. Seriously, write anything other than him.
